Corolla Altis

Toyota Corolla Altis, the company's signature sedan, has gave them a whooping sales of over 40 million universally, with the title of world's no. 1 sedan, with no efforts. Toyota India launched the 11th breed of this premium sedan with multi- cosmetic modified and upgraded.

Toyota Corolla Altis has  9 variants in total ; which, 5 are in petrol guise while the other 4 find  place in the diesel  fuel trim. The petrol variants includes  J(S), G, G-CVT, GL & VL (CVT), on the other hand diesel ones are DJ, DJ(S), DG and DGL

without an arguement, the rear fascia of the sedan is huskier and heavier when we  compare its predecessor. The radiator grille which is supported pretty well   by the auto- daytime running LED headlamps and clearance lamps. The dual fog lamps look sublime started in the body colored rear bumper. Going sideways, the 16" alloy wheels are good according to the 5mm of suitability in the height. The Japanese auto major has been successful  in giving the car a different front look by in relation with modernly designed widen LED combined lamps  with chrome work at the front.

Though a D-segment wheel, but people in India  put mileage on top as their priority; they are going to buy a 10 L + sedan. Toyota Corolla Altis petrol variants have manual gearbox provides great fuel economy of 14.53kmpl and the automatic ones  around 10-11kmpl. The diesel is more efficient in fuel came up with an awesome fuel economy of 21.43kmpl. but, mileage vary further while driving in congested place or with crowded and traffic.

The automakers from japan has not even touched any power-trains; both diesel or petrol, of this 11th generation Corolla Altis and it has remained all the cues from its previous models. The petrol variants has 1.8-l dual VVT-I petrol motor, which provide the power output of 138bhp at 6400rpm and max torque of 173Nm at 4000rpm. It is a 4-cylinder Inline, 16-valve, DOHC enabled engine, which displaces 1798cc. The engine is supported  with both a 6-speed manual gearbox and a super CVT-i with 7-speed sequential shift. Power is tranported to the rear wheels of the sedan via these  gearboxes. On the other , the 4 diesel variants are connected with a 1.4Litre D-4D Diesel Engine with Nozzle Turbo and Inter-cooler. It is a 4-cylinder inline, 1364cc mill that provides a maximum power of 87bhp at 3800rpm and torque of 205Nm at 1800-2800rpm. It is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission to increase performance and fuel economy.

If you used the predecessor Corolla Altis, then you will find it very good with its modern driving dynamics. The sedan is been launched in a new avatar while keeping the powerhouse same under hood but improving its drive in both  petrol and diesel guises.
