Maruti Suzuki Ertiga was excited to launch the compact MUV segment in the country with Ertiga MPV in 2012 and on its journey by far, The wheel gets little facelifts. The upmost edition does not give a good style, But it has some exciting surprise. Externally, the MPV has been worked with cosmetic changes, mainly visible on the rear. A dash of chrome on the outside changes it from being suave to little premium. Side view is almost the same, except for re-designed alloy rims.

Ertiga has remained the simple outer look and is studded in a improved skin with almost all of the changes made on the front. On the face, a wide radiator grille  between the headlights, featuring three slats, compliments the face. The front bumper has been tweaked, highlights of it are hint of chrome around the fog lamp cover. Air intake is smaller relatively, connected the changed rear apron. View from the side is mostly similar to the last model. The only add-ons made are reworked alloy wheels. front gets a couple of upgrades too, such as a thick chrome band running across the width of the bootlid, reflectors around the tail lights, reworked bumper and rear parking sensors. The body-coloured front and rear bumpers render uniformity.

Engine configuration has been carried as it is from the predecessor, but the motors have been modified to yield increased fuel economy. The engine choices for the Ertiga range include one petrol and one diesel engine. Powering the petrol range is a 1.4-litre, K14 gasoline mill producing slightly less power (91.73 bhp) than the previous 93.7 bhp. Torque levels have gone minimally up at 13.25 kgm from 13.2 kgm. Fiat’s 1.3-litre DDiS engine known for its highly efficient nature gets SHVS technology, which, in turn, makes it even more frugal. Changes made to the diesel engine are in line with the ones evident on the Ciaz SHVS. The out figures, however, remain the same at 89 bhp at 4000 RPM and 200 Nm of torque at 1750 RPM. Maruti Ertiga transmission choices comprise a five-speed manual tranny equipped in the entire, save for the VXi petrol variant, which is also available in four-speed automatic transmission.
